Annual Christmas Concert

We just love to sing. That makes us a busy choir. In a typical year, we will perform half a dozen major concerts and many other smaller fund-raisers, community choral presentations, special liturgical celebrations, etc. Our Annual Christmas Concert is a perennial favourite. We will often invite other groups such as children's choirs, college and university choirs, or musical ensembles to join us in this festive kick-off to the Christmas season.

"One Hour" Palm Sunday

Our "One Hour" concert is performed on Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week leading up to Christianity's most important day in the liturgical year,  Easter.  The "One Hour" concert takes it's name from the gospels in which Christ finds his followers asleep prior to the crucifixion and asks "Could you not watch with me, one hour?" This concert is reverential and meditational and we often include works of the great Masters; Mozart, Hyden, Bach. We also perform more contemporary music, but always melodic and emotional.

European Tour Kick-Off

It would be great to go to Europe every year, but that's just not possible. Nevertheless, we DO seem to make it every two to three years and 2014 will be another year to remember. During years when we do not perform a Euro-Tour kick-off concert, we usually perform for the benefit of a local charity, such as the South Surrey/White Rock Food Bank or the South Surrey/White Rock Hospice.

Charity Benefit Concert

We have performed a large number of Charity Benefit Concerts over the years. We firmly believe in the important role music can play in evangelization but also in the Catholic principal of Charitable Works. Whenever our schedule will allow, we make sure that we do our best to raise funds for a local worthwhile cause.  Of course, a portion of the funds we raise go the "Chalice" catholic charity through which we "adopt" children of impoverished or war-torn countries and help them lead as normal a life as possible with food and education.

Remembrance Day

We performed our first Remembrance Day concert in 2013. Our goal was to create a solemn, reverential musical event; to honour all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for peace. A large number of new pieces were introduced for this concert and we were very encouraged by the very positive response of so many attendees. We certainly will be doing it again. Proceeds from the concert were shared with our adopted charities.

Other concerts occur throughout the year. These posters are for Fall (October Concert) with our friends the Vancouver Brass Ensemble and a June Concert at Holy Cross Church in Crescent Beach in aid of the local Food Bank.
